Doña Rebeca: Solar + Storage | Sustainable project in Tarapacá

Huara Energy: Clean energy that drives Chile's future.

About the Project

Doña Rebeca Project

A strategic energy solution

Located in the Tarapacá Region —one of the areas with the highest solar radiation on the planet—, Doña Rebeca is a hybrid project combining battery storage (BESS) and Solar Panels (PV).

Its intelligent design maximizes available natural resources and responds to the growing demand for clean, flexible, and reliable energy in Chile and Latin America.

Our Business Model

Business Model

Sustainable profitability in two stages

Doña Rebeca combines operational efficiency and long-term vision:

  • First stage: we leverage zero energy prices during solar hours to charge batteries at very low cost and sell the stored energy at night, when prices multiply up to 100 times.
  • Second stage: we will develop our own solar park that will allow us to generate and store energy, ensuring independence and higher operating margins.

This strategy ensures flexibility against market changes and maximizes profitability sustainably.

Advantages

Technical Advantages

Privileged location and cutting-edge technology

  • Maximum efficiency: the project is located 1,000 meters above sea level, in an area with unmatched solar radiation worldwide.
  • Immediate access: just 400 meters from Route 5 North and 300 meters from 220 kV transmission lines.
  • Adjacent lands: possibility of expansion on nearby family-owned land.
  • Operational resilience: Grid-Forming storage systems that ensure support against frequency variations, black start, and high reliability for the grid.
